how could you not like it

did i say i didn't like it?

it's essentially a shock movie, and all the shock would be gone after the first time

...it's not a shock movie doodhuh;

i mean it's only got one really "shocking" moment and even then you don't actually see any of it, just hear it

yes it is
i don't mean shocking moments like THAT, but shocking situations ("LOL SHE OD'D ON COKE IS SHE GOING TO DIE" or "WAIT DID HE JUST KILL JOHN TRAVOLTA" or "LOL GIMP") that seem to be there just to be as over-the-top as possible
spoilers btw

Thyme

It's still a good movie to watch again because of the great dialogues.

yeah i don't get it either

i'm fairly certain tarantino wasn't trying to shock anyone - otherwise why would he have spent so much time on perfecting dialogue and cinematography

Hiro

I've only seen a few bits and pieces of Pulp Fiction, and only because it's on the college TV stations every day  :(

Usually when I talk to someone who doesn't like tarantino, in general, it's because they say the dialogue is "boring" blah blah.

Jesus. Then you haven't seen kill bill.

But in all of his movies, the violence is so stylized and draws so much from film roots, it's something you dont really consider.

Nyerp

i've seen parts of kill bill and the action was rly c00l
