Miners in Chile

So my dad told me this morning that theres like 33 miners in Chile trapped underground. Saddest part is the soonest they can get them out was estimated to be around christmas time. They have about 600x600ft living space and food and other things like antidepressants are lowered down through a small hole

why the fuck would it take until christmas to get them out, for Gods sake this is the 21st century

I don't think I could handle living in a mine shaft like that for months and months. I am scared to think of my mental state after getting out.
