The way I see it is that the rapid increase of technology and other things is causing the majority of the population to think less for themselves and in turn weaken their own sense of imagination in which oh so many things have been the basis of since humanity appeared. With instant access to as much information as you want, there is less of a need to experiment with things for yourself.
