Diference between .mds and .mdf files?

I don't understand why the .mdf won't write if it seems to be the larger file.  The .mds won't mount anyway with Alcohol 120% :(

Try mounting the .mds file with Daemons Tools.

Maybe the mds needs more time in the relationship before you mount it.
