Bummed that grass is dying?

I'm surprised by how bummed this issue has me. I play with my 6 yo daughter and bought wiispeak to wifi with a nephew (and have two older nieces who each planned to get the game/wiispeak and get their friends involved too, I will advise them against at this point). We have all had so much fun sending each other things, playing together and feeling like we really do live only next door, instead of the hundreds of miles away we really do live.

After about two weeks of play, I noticed the grass dying, looked it up and I must say, I was truly shocked to see what a HUGE mess this is. Now I'm just really dissappointed by the whole thing. ACCF is a wonderful family game but this issue has the power to ruin it for so many people, my family included. The game just can't really be played the way it was meant to be: with joy, abandon and lots of friends and family!

(I didn't bother to read the entire thread, but) If Nintendo truly doesn't intend to right this wrong---and intentional or not, it is clearly a wrong that severely negatively impacts the player and their experience---then shame on them.
