What I've found with most people is that the first time blazing you don't get very high, because your body doesn't know how to metabolize the THC.

1)Quality weed won't have all the extra chemicals from fertilizer and such.  They'd actually wash it first before trying it and such.
2)Just use a vaporizer if it worries you.
