Reflecting on 2008

2009 is here in 3 days guys :o

Reflect on what you accomplished, liked or disliked about 2008 and post what you think you'll do in 09 to make yourself a little bit better.

First step in current gen of gaming yay.

Great year for movies.

Graduated from college.

Had to look for a job.

...for two months.

Got one.

getting slightly better at talking to people


also getting a pee ess triple

saw chelsea in the summer, again on the 31st of December

got way more serious into my writing

discovered lots of new great music

kickass classes in college

getting better at being less socially awkward

eating a little bit healthier

almost failed my psychology class because of sleeping

Fathered my first child.

First actual Boyfriend.

...lost him 4 weeks later due to conflicts of schedule...

Met some great friends.

Did more writing and acting.

Lost weight (FINALLY, I KEPT THAT RESOLUTION!)

Economy sucks, can't get a loan, can't go to college yet.

I now understand different levels of people.


Overall 2008:  Could have been better, but it could have been way worse.
Hope for 2009: Can't go to college yet, but still plan to be productive. Save up for college in 2010.

I give it 3 out of 5.

During that time, learn python and maybe another programming language or two.

That way you'll be a bit ahead in the subjects you want to learn.

To be honest, I want to design, not program.
HOWEVER, I do plan to learn programming.

This year has been the most influential and important year of my life. I can't imagine 2009 being more important... but whether I can imagine it or not doesn't matter. Whatever happens happens, and I will handle the rest of my life as I see fit.

First part of the year was great, when I was in 11th grade.

The World Ends With You also came out in early 2008,

but the year fell in a pit once summer vacation was over.

12th grade sucks.

HOWEVER, I do plan to learn programming.

Programming is still an valuable skill regardless of what part of game development you plan on working with.

Especially if you want to head your own projects like me.
