Why we CAN'T have the TECNOLOGIES found in MOVIES / VIDEOGAMES ?

But we can think of them yet we can't do them?

I wanna see Lightsabers on military.
I wanna go inside Matrix and be "plugged-in".
I wanna buy a jetpack legally.
I wanna do hyperspace travel.
I wanna have holograms and future everything and time machine and just everything!

Long story short : I wanna EXPERIENCE all of this before I die ! ! ! So let's just do them NOW who's with me?

P.S. I'm 21 btw.

Lightsabers are basically impossible, unfortunately. Some of those other things aren't, though.

is there a material out there that can't be destroyed by lasers befuddlement
if so i don't see why it can't be done, all you'd need is that material and some really powerful lasers

laserbeam technology can't do that...light waves don't stop and thus can't form a blade

you could cap it off with the indestructable material
it wouldn't exactly be a lightsaber but it's be pretty damn close
