Ultimately PETA isn't that stupid a group, and if they kept their views against cruelty to animals in the sane region people would probably take them seriously. I know I would. Vegetarians annoy me slightly, and Vegans just seems stupid, but I can understand people wanting the meat we eat to be raised in a nice environment and not under harsh and painful conditions, etc etc.

But when they're spouting crap like this it's just stupid. I mean, why would they even say something like this. They're just degrading people's view of the organisation, and the only people who are going to remain supporters of the group would be those who are better off living in the middle of nowhere with the cows that they love so dearly than in society with other human beings.
Like how loads more people would probably take Christianity seriously in America if they managed to shut the creationists up like in Europe.
