Ok, I really wasn't expecting these kind of hardships, but here are some observations about dorms I've made.

1) Taking a shit sucks because you have to sit on a cold, hard, public toilet seat.
2) When the fuck can you find the time and privacy to jack off? I literally haven't jacked off in almost a week. HELP ME.
3) Some people can be really strange, such as my roommate. He never talks to me, never hangs out with me and only hangs out with a handful of people, and has over 1100 pictures of himself on his Facebook. Freak. (Unfortunately, I was venting about this to a friend of mine and didn't even realize that my roommate was right behind me. Fuck my life.) Meanwhile, I've made  TON of new friends in the past 4 days. It's been awesome, except for my roommate. Everyone else is friends with their roommates, except for me.
4) I have met a LOT of new people in college, and school hasn't even started yet. Orientation is almost over, though.
5) Frat parties are AMAZING. Unortunately, I dare not get wasted. For if I get caught wasted, I get kicked out of college. Pretty strict here.

Anyone else entering their first year of college? Is it the same for you?

5.) The frats in my university are so low-profile that I don't even know what they're called, who's in them, or where the houses are. Nobody seems to care about them, so parties are all just thrown by average students rather than frat kids.

No, there are four showers in our bathroom on our floor. I am NOT jacking off in them, only to have someone else step in my cum right after I get out. I wouldn't want that to happen to me. And I'm not jacking off into the toilet either. It would be so obvious if I did, because people walk into the bathrooms all of the time. Well yeah... But you're also connected to thousands of kids, activities, parties, and experiences you wouldn't get otherwise. Isolating yourself from your classmates completely ruins the college experience

I personally like the extra space and having constant privacy. Besides, my roommate was boring and was just a waste of space.

Uh, the number of people that go greek is miniscule when compared to the amount of people living in dorms with roommates...

There are plenty of schools without any Greek system, so that's not really a staple of college life, it just makes for better movies

I was exaggerating because you were. Having a roommate doesn't have to be a "defining moment" in college. At least to me it doesn't. It's just someone to live with, and chances are unless you become good friends with them, you'll get bored of them pretty fast.
