Syncing my new ipod<3

It's a 160gb version, got it for graduating 

It takes forever to sync all my music, it's been transferring for about 3 hours now. Only finished like 40gbs which is about half of just my music.

Anyways what should I use to transfer videos to iPod format.

Whats the name of it? Is it quite easy to use? Can I like transfer a whole movie to the right format?
