yeah you reform the great fairy in clock town and you give her the fairies in your human form (not sure if it makes a difference) and she gives you the fairy mask that not only lures fairies but it also tells you if there are fairies in the room you're in.

i don't have a hard time with the fairies, i remember where they all are pretty easily. with the zelda series i just tend to remember all the secrets by heart for some reason.
