Is it possible? I know you can do internal to external, but I wasn't sure about the other way around.
I don't think so. psyduck;
Fixed. I got it mixed up.
What do you mean, "to"? Like, taking the drive out and using it as an internal drive?

This, but backwards. And I'd probably never get a Hitachi HD again, two of those have died on me so far.

I'm so confused. So you want to take an external hard drive and make it your internal drive?
It's very easy, I've done it.
Get Hard drive casing and break it open, make sure it is the standard size (99% sure it is) and install it, it's pretty easy, just make sure it has a bracket to hold it in place.

I'll try it.

Theres not much else to it. My brother said it has to be in "slave" mode but you shouldn't have to worry if he is right because the external hard drives are probably never in "master" mode because it's a secondary hard drive.
I probably got the CD drive and hard drive things mixed up, if it doesn't work unplug the hard drive and get online and find someone that could help you fix it.
