Knoppix is so fucking sweet. It's like a whole operating system in a CD. No installations.

I hate how Ubuntu and many other Linux distros attempt faux transparency.

The terminal window isn't transparent. It's a fully customizable backgorund. psyduck;

also ubuntu's looks very nice with beryl and shit
