Title: File compression help
Post by: musica.cards on June 21, 2007, 09:23:37 PM
I'm trying to compress a file down to less then 15.5 MB, but the smallest I can get it is 26 MB, the original file is 58 MB, and I used a ZIP folder to get it down to 26 MB, but I can't get it down any smaller, how can I reach my >15.5 MB goal?

7z is probably the best, followed by gunzip and tarballs.

Then do what Lawlz said. You'll probably have to use 7Zip for those filetypes, though.

What kind of files are those?

This is relevant, as how well something can be compressed can be affected by what kind of data it is.
