But irl I liked hanging out in LA and the one time David snuck away from cleaning his mom's house to meet me in a McDonald's in Iowa

Dude point defiance absolutely rules, I love going there for nice days off, and it's the first place I want to take anyone that visits (which so far has been ONE person) there's a zoo, picnic areas, hiking, cycling, a beach with kayaks, awesome views, waterfront walkway, idk what else. best thing about tacoma.
