Wowee. I can't believe this place still exists, first and foremost I hope all of you are well! I haven't logged in here since my early 20s must less been active since I was in my teens but I'm happy this place is still here. all of you have aged wonderfully from what I've seen on my FB timeline. lubdoods;
I am an interesting place though, I make about 43,000k a year plus bonus, still live at home, 26, and I'm confused on which way to go at this point in my life.I've been in the sales industry and still haven't completed my associates degree.I've dated a lot but never found love, genuinely at least. And I'm very much anxious these days. I find myself more and more interested in American politics and social issues in general these days so I feel that I should make a shift towards that type of work but then comes the issue of making money. I've experienced a lot and lived a lot but I'm trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do with this charisma and talent I supposedly have always had doodella;
I'm trying to figure out how to start a good twitch stream or something idk anymore.
Since most of you are older than me from what I can remember, and a lot of you had your mental health issues as well, as a young man who's preparing to leave the nest and maybe even move from his current field and relocate his entire life. What would be your biggest piece of advice to give me right now?
appeasement;
sup cam
i'm the same age as you and i just started workin full time this year, unfortunately i have no advice except to smoke weed everyday
Idk a change of scenery always mentally improves my state of mind so I can recommend it from that perspective.
Although it can get pretty expensive to get up and move long distance if that's what you're thinking. It's doable if you don't need a lot of stuff. But yea definitely have a job in place wherever you move to start paying off any expenses
whats up cam
you're like the only boyager i have on facebook that regularly posts iirc
sup cam hope you're doing well
jumping straight into life advice.. travel somewhere cheap for a while if you're feeling burnt out (maybe not during covid)

Thank you guys so much! Honestly I'm really considering moving more everyday. I need to finish my associates next year. But what makes it hard is my huge family out here, in particular my father and youngest sister. I love them so much and the youngest sister just went to school and I'm legit sad I don't see her everyday anymore.
I have friends here too. But the environment, and the fact that illinois is financially fucked makes the prospect of settling here less appealing.
I'm just lucky I don't have kids. Which almost happened.
Is Illinois really fucked? I keep seeing people moving to Chicago, it seems like someone out there is hiring
Where would you move to?

the trend here from what ive been seeing is ppl are moving
kinds fits in line with how many projects ive helped ppl organize to renovate/remodel to sell their homes lol
but that's just from my experience
havent really read the headlines much, but i do know that people are fed up with taxes here, seen articles shitting on IL, more-so chicago, and that it potentially will end up like detroit. but pssh that's mostly speculation ofc.

we're in a financial crisis. We have debt out the ass and there's no forseeable end in sight. I like Chicagoland itself it just is a really poor state. Chicago has a lot of jobs but the problem is the cost of living is high and the wages aren't.

I post all the time. I primarily use it to socially commentate and I'm planning on taking that a step further soon. I really don't post much about my actual personal life.

I'm not sure yet. I'm considering the Portland area or colorado.
Move to Fort Morgan, CO
Well I just was in the Portland/vancouver area in August. I very much enjoyed it. I would say Id prefer a little more diversity but everyone was very polite.
I'm going to be in fort collins colorado next week for about 6 days so we'll see.
From people in CO I keep hearing about Ft collins as a haven of racist rednecks but maybe that's just compared to Denver/Boulder lol
