Title: Do you prefer a male or female singer?
Post by: Lozal on June 17, 2007, 01:47:17 PM
I prefer a male singer. For some reason, music always seems to sound better when it's with a male singer instead of a female singer. At least in my opinion.

It doesn't matter to me, as long as the woman's voice gets so high pitched it starts hurting my ears.  argh;
I also don't want her to sound whiny(Keyshia Cole)

You all are fucking sexists. It doesn't matter what sex the singer is.

Doesn't matter. Pretty much all of my favorite vocalists happen to be male, but that doesn't mean I don't like female vocalists. I rather like Heart, Janis Joplin, and Joan Jett.

It doesn't matter at all.

As long as the singer can sound good.

For me, to be be perfectly honest with you guys, it all depends on the language.
If it is english, it better be male.
If it is Latin it better be female, or ververy deep male.
If it is hebrew, it does not matter.
If it is castillian, Male
If it is japanese, then female unless it is in a really good rock band.
And those are my 2 cents!

I normally prefer male, but it doesn't matter too much. I just hate it when woman sing so high pitched.
Overall, it depends on the song.

It depends on the genre. Typically in rave music, a female sounds better.

Depends but usually for metal male, while for acoustical male with female backing

Usually male but I also like when they've got a female voice in there somewhere

Depends on the bad. Nina Persson of The Cardigans is one of my favorite singers, and she is female... however there are probably more male singers that I like, just because the ratio of male to female singers is higher.
