it's been kind of interesting taking two quarters of community college classes after going through university a few years ago. in my recent classes, class sizes have been much smaller, student demographics are much wider, and instruction was more personal and hands on. way cheaper too.
however, i am finishing an online intro to web development class (not my interest anyways) and holy shit i can't believe i am paying for this. there are online lectures where i literally just "code along" with the instructor and turn in whatever i did exactly the same as them. i've realized that 100% of the material i could have taught myself much more efficiently.
hopefully i am done taking proper classes forever now lol
what has been your experience with community college boyah?
took a couple semesters like 5 years ago and yeah the classes definitely felt more personal than real college classes. kinda comfy but they didn't have the classes i wanted
I never went to a community college so I dunno
a post
yea cc is kind of a joke
uh i took a web development class this semester, it was once a week for 2 hours and 45 minutes. i skipped the class like at least 5 times. that alone should have prob failed me. but at the end of the semester we were supposed to submit a website that we created. i literally slapped together 3 pages of the most basic html you could ever imagine and sent it in, it looked like a 90's website. if i didn't fail the class cuz of that i was expecting to fail because of my attendance
i got a B
man idk how you guys are getting ez classes
every class ive had in my cc actually had staff that were a bit harsh with grading and were on top of their shit
i guess it really depends on the professor through
my brother had an english teacher and i knew he was so dogshit at english and he got an A. with the shit he had me proofread he was just bad, it just blew my mind. though i had another prof for the same class and actually tried, to the point of writing a 15-page document for our final project. barely scrapped by with an A-
always thought it was so bs how much my brother really didnt deserve that A
still bothers me that people are passed with half-assed attempts but i guess ive had my fair share so w/e lollll
To be fair 3/4 of the classes I've taken so far have been challenging and useful for me. My Java class kicked my ass but I finished with a B+ which felt good
i have to take 4 community college courses to transfer to my main university in order to get financial aid again (gpa too low) but I've fucked up at CC too so I have to pay for those out of pocket.
what the fuck do I do lol
