So I sometimes get compliments on my (speaking) voice and it always surprises me because I don't really like my own voice, though I don't think anyone does.
But I was just watching a video with John Mulaney and some of the comments were talking about what a nice voice he has, and I realized I don't really like his voice either.
And then I realized that, while I wouldn't say we sound alike, the thing in his voice that I don't like is the same thing in myvoice that I don't like. And I just thought that was interesting. It's hard to say what the thing is though, but I can hear it super clearly. It almost sounds like there's something goopy on the back of the roof of his (my) mouth, just a thin layer, that's affecting his (my) speech, but not overly so.
I'm sure that makes no sense but it's the best way I can describe it.
also i guess discuss your voices/voices in general
i feel mine has no depth
it's not high-pitched but it's high... timbred? idk what to call it
the top of my voice isn't high, but the bottom is
and it's p. monotone
and of course in english i have a v. thicc quebec french accent
I don't think anyone really likes the way their voice sounds. Hating hearing your voice back via echo on a phone or whatever is a pretty common phenomenon. I think I even change the way I speak in terms of pitch to people depending on the group
But idk maybe some people like Pavarotti like their voices who knows
i use to dislike my voice a lot but after hearing it recorded a bunch of times i dont even care anymore.
I like John Mulaney's voice but I also like your voice Popsi
I think my voice is okay, the only problem is I sometimes have a slight lisp if I'm not paying attention, and I'm often either too loud or too quiet. Also my "coach" in my announcing class told me I sometimes speak out of the corner or my mouth so now I'm self-conscious about doing that.
everyone hates their voice until the jerk off to it for the first time

i like my voice. it was pretty frustrating when i moved to portland cause people think you're dumb if you have a southern accent (which is not true generally speaking but I, myself, Am Dumb) but also my accent gets me some play sometimes so it all works out imo.

I took an "announcing for tv and radio" class in college, and after recording our scripts we had a guy who was basically a TA listen to them and tell us what we did well and what we needed to work on

I like your voice and I don't think your accent makes you sound dumb though other variants of southern accents can sound dumb, it's more about other things that often go with that like grammar and slang.
to me it just makes funny stuff you say sound even more funny than it would otherwise
people comment how white I sound
'like a white guy off television'
I was borderline mute as a kid and was given speech classes by a speech pathologist so I guess that's why my wording is 'white'
I go crazy if my voice doesn't get my intent across
also if I'm really relaxed and drunk I'll start sounding more gay and my wording become more drawn out and whispery
