from what i heard, a (some) marine(s) apparently raped (murdered?) a local and everyone got mad so they are now starting to transfer marines from oki to guam.

kind of, but i didnt leave the resort much. around my resort it was kind of desolate anyway; i probably should have planned ahead and booked a trip to santo domingo at some point during my stay but its like a 2.5 hour drive each way so i couldnt really just wing that. regardless, i got really drunk heh heh
