So, the Last Chance Trial is here, has been since last night apparently.
I am really looking forward to this game. I just finished the boss of the LC trial, and was surprised I only died twice, as opposed to the 10+ of the alpha and beta bosses.
Overall, this demo did seem easier than the others, but maybe that's because I actually know how to play now
Either way, if you played the demos, discuss here, and we'll use this for when the full game releases
at this point i view nioh as a cool game i only get to play every few months lol
but yeah i played the first mission of the new trial and only died twice to the boss fight
i'm really ready for this game to come out now!!!!
This is definitely the best Souls-like game to ever come out, the others that I can think of being Bound By Flame, and Lords of the Fallen.
I don't fully count Salt and Sanctuary
I also really like the historical aspect of it. How real clans and people are part of the story, and its not JUST samurai souls.
so uh apparently this is really good? 5thgrade;
we already knew that
Yeah. Imma see if I can get it at launch, if not I can wait a bit
i want it but i havent even opened yakuza or dragon quest 8 lmao
i still need to beat bloodborne
i should wait
Got my copy, ready to get started after work.
Anyone else pick it up at launch?
not yet :(
Hah I had no interest in this game until I saw the reviews and let's plays... I still don't think u can swing it because I suddenly have a huge backlog of games when just about a year and a half ago I thought maybe I was outgrowing games
First main mission and first sub mission done.
I only dies once to the first boss, and that was mainly because I had to remember how he moves.
So fun so far
Second main mission complete.
And I beat the boss without dying!!

vidya games are life
Just completed the level of my nightmares
i'm apparently not good at these kinds of games. i probably died like 4685132 times on the first boss, including leading up to it lol
i wish my husband would carry me thru this game like he did in dark souls :V
finally got this, will play later
i just beat umi-bozu and the game is great but i think i'm about to run out of elixirs and you can't buy them??? they have a blood vial system but they don't let you spend souls to get them a.k.a. the thing that kept bloodborne from being a horrible constant grind?????
That's why healer blessing is a godsend.
i had that blessing on for most of the level and barely got anything

bad luck?
still playing this lmao. i think i just unlocked the final level and i'm glad i did because christ this game is repetitive. i'm bordering on considering it a 7 or an 8 because it's fast and fun but the enemy pool is so tiny that you're fighting the same 10 enemies in EVERY level and you stop having to learn new enemies like 15 hours in. also the levels mostly come in 3 main varieties: foresty outside area, big cave, and japanese castle. some levels mix these parts together but for the most part they're pretty samey. i have to take multi-day breaks just to refresh my interest in playing this lol
Hmm. Sounds like Dark Souls.
this'll be fun
no. souls games usually introduce at least one new enemy type per area while nioh introduces a new type maybe every 5 missions and then just stops. also souls games have "themed" enemies that fit the environment they're in instead of slapping the same yokai in every single area with few exceptions
Ok then.
I mean Nyerp's right about Souls, that series never really had particularly small enemy variety

I like the direction they went with this game, but this is by far the biggest complaint I have heard. I would get it but I have bought the soul series since demon souls and just never play long enough
Someone deleted my post......
I know who.......
