The console releases March 3rd for $299.99 and comes in black as well as a red/blue combo:

Joy-Cons $49.99 each or $79.99 with a bundle of a left and right each.
The Pro controller is $69.99, charging grip is $29.99 and a standalone TV dock will be $89.99

Joy-Cons feature HD rumble functionality, NFC on the right, motion control, and a Record button on the left. There are also L and R buttons on the inner sides, and come with a rail attachment to both cover the exposed side of the controllers, provide a wrist strap, and offer more prominent L and R buttons. Joy-Cons will come in Red, Blue, and Black at launch.
The device itself features a 720p resolution multitouch screen, 32gb of included storage, microSD card slot, and battery life is estimated between 3 and 6 hours.

Online will be free at launch but will become paid at some time in the Fall. Includes a free NES or SNES game (with added online play) each month, as well as a smartphone app to " invite friends to play online, set play appointments, and chat with friends during online matches in compatible games"

Looks like the app is needed for lobbies and voice chat, which is p. fucking dumb, but the sharing and friends list etc are on the device. Really strange, I don't know how that's going to work, I can see people just using Discord or something similar. But you're complaining about the free VC game??? The PS3 only did "free" games with PS+ so people would pay for it, and then Microsoft had to do it too just to be competitive, free games with online weren't really a thing until this gen, and they're still doing it.

also Zelda looks fucking excellent as it has been, but Mario Odyssey looks WONDERFUL as well. It's going to be a lot more in-line with Mario 64 and Sunshine, so this could very well be the best Mario game in 15 years.

the more i watch the new zelda trailer the less i like it. i just dont really like anime. also all the freakshow partners makes me think of tp and i wasnt huge on that. link doesn't need to assemble a band of multicolored heroes, thats not what it's about. also what's the deal with ice gorons?

And Wind Waker managed to find a good balance of all of it. Childhood whimsy and the sense of adventure, but also extremely good writing with some real maturity to characters like Ganon. I honestly don't think WW will ever be topped again in terms of story or design.

I'm happy to hear that Puyo Puyo Tetris is actually getting an English release. I bought the Japanese PS4 version last year because I wanted it and figured there was no way it would ever get a localization. I'll probably buy the English Switch version.

The Switch game I'm most looking forward to is of course Mario. The other announced games I know I'll get include just Zelda and Splatoon. Sonic and Mario Kart are likely.

It seems ridiculous that NoA is still insisting that "3DS has a long life ahead of it" and that Switch isn't replacing the 3DS. I expect they'll change their tune after the two games they have left for it are out.
