just started using it so i can talk to other nerds playing DCSS and i forgot what a cool way to chat it is
i still think it'd be awesome to get boyah irc going. felt was saying that we could somehow get the discord chat also on irc but i have no idea how that works

yes. its been pretty dead the few times ive gone. im thinking ive just went on at bad times
we have a discord im not using 2 chats!!! argh;
IRC is what my workplace primarily uses for chat between engineers.
also I still keep chatspike open all the time at home and use it fairly often
I use WhatCD's IRC and the IRC server for REN-ISAC at work.
The department uses Slack for out of band though so with my own coworkers i use that.
i don't frequently use irc tbh because there's a lot of dead air and i don't like connecting to it while it is inactive
there's plenty of irc clients though so i could always get a notification on my phone if someone says anything
i have an irc client installed but i never use it anymore
just use pidgin for irc tbh

pidgin is a pretty good piece of software. i used to use it a lot when i was active on msmn and aim and i liked how i could also integrate facebook messenger
damn, i had forgotten about aim and boyah chat. i wonder if my aim account is still good.
