do they tho? the only real failure of theirs in recent memory i can think of spacebase, and that was probably only because it WASN'T kickstarted; since no one wants to invest real monies into early access they didnt have the funds to actually finish the damn game lol
other than that all I can think of is Broken Age and Massive Chalice; yeah Broken Age took for fucking ever but I would say it was well worth the wait, and I haven't played Massive Chalice so I can't really say on that one but my roommate played it on his xboner and he seemed to think it was kook
so i'm not too worried about them going this route as long as i'm gettin psychonauts 2 happydood;
EDIT: ok maybe i was being too generous, on second thought schaefer IS fucking shit at time management (or projection rather i guess) and money/budget management. however, if his crowd funding goes well i don't think there's reason to believe they're going to put out a subpar product. it will probably take a year+ after whatever release date he sets
well, this one certainly stands a much better chance at nothing going wrong, because it's psychonauts 2 and not some new ip attempt
Double fine has always run into problens with success.
When they make a great game like psychonauts, it sells poorly.
same with brutal legend although not as good as psychonauts...
their name to me is synonymous with commercial failure
