it definitely has nothing to do with samurai champloo and that's not a comparison i would make, but this show is utterly fantastic regardless and i've been telling people to watch it since i saw it early this year

depends what you like about the shows i guess
in samurai champloo i really liked the emphasis on everyone's unique abilities, and how they would be represented through the combat. also the emphasis on skill and characters that reflect their fighting styles
i feel largely the same way about ping pong
