why does everything have separate settings for headphone audio and speaker audio
why is the default for speaker audio around 50% of max volume and headphone audio defaults to 100% akudood;
it's this way for every device i've ever used that maintains two settings
there's also the fact that no device ever seems to remember what your audio setting is or it's somehow always fucking corrupted
e.g. this has happened with two desktops
speakers are at 10%
plug in headphones
100% (of course)
turn down to 10%
unplug headphones
speakers blast out at 100%
turn down to 10%
headphones are back at 100%
it's also happened with an old ipod touch, but minus the non-headphone speakers. somehow unplugging headphones accidentally while something is playing sets the volume to 100% akudood;
and i was just testing headphones with my phone
my phone's volume was set around 10%
plug in my headphones and start listening to something
no volume
turn it up
75%
turn it down to 10%
switch to something else
back up to 100%
android tells me that loud sounds damage your hearing
well fucking thanks how about you don't play anything so fucking loud without my consent then akudood;
unplug the headphones
100%
plug in the headphones
100%
fuck this shit
also, if you listen to loud music, you are literally retarded. there's no reason to do so and listening to something so loud that it hurts only makes the music sound worse. enjoying music at max volume is equivalent to staring directly into the sun akudood;
