Hitachi Ultrastar 750GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/hitachi-internal-hard-drive-hua721075kla330) ($44)
Gigabyte GeForce 210 1GB Video Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130586) ($28)
Apex DM-318 HTPC Case w/275W Power Supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154087) ($40)
Dell E2414H 24.0" Monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G1B68249) ($142)
Dell E2414H 24.0" Monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G1B68249) ($142)

TOTAL: $541

the idea is to have a really basic, reliable machine running panels/monitors on 24" screens, 24/7.

anyone see any room for improvement on specs or prices?  :3
