So I might buy a iPhone 4s from a friend that has a clean ESN(whatever that is) that was on verizon, I have a HTC one v on virgin mobile's prepaid plan

Is there a way I could just keep my Virgin mobile stuff and switch it over to the iPhone?

you can't use an iphone 4s from verizon on virgin mobile in general
however i believe the verizon iphone 5s can work on any carrier
