When playing a multiplayer game online (or video games in general) do you listen to team speak or your own music?
Usually if I'm not playing with people I know I usually turn mute on the tv and listen to tunes on the iPod?
What of you do?
jesus fucking christ dp are you really one of those people
sounds are pretty goddamn useful in games. they let you know what's happening before you see it. if you mute the game and listen to your own bullshit, you're missing out on a significant portion of the experience
i play offline

that really depends on what kind of game it is

i listen to my music when i grind in RPGs
a couple times during last of us or uncharted 2 multiplayer sessions i've had music on in the background, but not with the tv muted.
nor the player mics muted for that matter, gotta hear my boyah pals. and i kept the music fairly quiet.
I just play with the video game noises. I hate talking topeop le I don't know and I'donly play music if it was ssomething monotonous i'm going for a high score in or something
i don't usually listen to my own music while playing, but when i do, i @least don't mute w/e im playing for the most part. when i played mmorpg's, like DFO (rest in peace ^v<> amen), i would mute everything or have the sound effects on once in a while. i don't play with ear/headphones, it feels so weird doing it in your own house.
but now most mmorpg's i play are dead or just canceled, and i don't truly play online anymore unless it's pokemon, but even then i barely do that.

jackodood;
oh also although it has nothing to do with playing online, if i'm doing something particularly repetitive in a game, like post-game grinding for whatever reason (in-game reward or trophy or whatever or just being completionist), i'll often listen to music while doing it
and i often listen to music and turn my ds or 3ds volume down while i'm breeding pokemon
I only do this with Fifa since none of the poor sudacas who still play it have mics anyway
Also I am like edm when I play ssbm because the consistent BPM is a good way to get into the groove of the game. I often have to use headphones though because many of my smash partners do not feel the same way
