Probably because he is afraid of drastic change and also he is poor and has no job lined up so it would be a giant risk.
his mom is pushing him to apply to a $10000/semester college and he makes like $400 a month and the laptop he just bought costs as much as the 5 months of rent i'd charge him
Hiro take a risk

Don't be afraid its not like you have anything there you can lose.

If I had no job, few close friends, and no budding relationship and always felt like shit I'd definitely take that chance if I had the opportunity.

well that's ridiculous unless she's helping to pay for it and I remember his poll for that laptop and I voted buying a new one would be dumb lol
she isn't

also she wants him to get a car and paying for insurance and everything would destroy his 400/month. pittsburgh is easy to get around with no car due to decent public transportation which phoenix apparently does not have
I originally was going to leave to arizona when i started school but couldn't afford it. If i could I would have done it.

I definitely support grant moving out of Arizona, but honestly you guys know nothing of Arizona. I moved back to Arizona a few days ago and I'm happy I did and like it better. Going new places and being out of your comfort zone is important. But Arizona is dope.

Arizona is still way prettier than any state between here and Illinois except Colorado and New Mexico, which are tied for prettiest. Also, way better weed here than in Chicago (and I assume any state between here and Chicago except for Colorado)
Also the sun is actually warm here (even in the places where it is the same temp w more snowfall than Chicago)

at least in Maricopa county it is illegal to deny another person a glass of water. You can get free water anywhere. Also Flagstaff has some of the cleanest/freshest tasting tap water I've ever tasted.

Idk definitely I think its good for Hiro to go try a new place, but I just dont think Arizona is a terrible place once must escape because its hot in the lower half of the state and the politicians are shitty.

Well I would need a laptop if I'm moving, and even if not this thing should last me for probably 6 years. Currently I'm using a desktop from 2005 that often overheats

i haven't really decided, but that's part of the problem really
aside from that it's a very scary/risky thing to do, and honestly there just isn't any major reason for me to go

risky, will lose all my monet i've saved up, still won't know anybody, will be a much less comfortable living situation (living in a closet, sleeping on a floor futon, won't be able to bring much of my stuff), have heard many differing things about the job market in pittsburgh and i'm bad at getting jobs as-is, and I'm not sure that anything would really change there, that i'd like lawlz or any of his friends, etc.
but  like i said i haven't decided really
