this is going to get stuck in my head. i couldn’t stop laughing as the song reminded me a lot of my hometown. from the very beginning the video brings together many aspects of suburban life. From the nostalgic ice cream truck music to the teen house party, this hits the nail on the head
itt if you are from The Burbs
Fuck the burbs. Fuck the burbs with a massive dildo
Citybro here
cities are good places to store people who fuckin suck.
what is a city

what is a city
a dark mythological place where people should never go
I fucking hate the city. But it has these pernicious little butterflies, sometimes moths actually. I would kill for a house in the woods with only a gravel road leading to it. Fuck cars driving right outside of my front door. If I wasn't in the city, I could shoot at them, or perform all kinds of devious things. But with more privacy, and peace of mind. The true way to get freaky. It is fact, cities are the big swirl inside the sink bowl when the water collects and pours down the drain. Center alright, of what, it depends on dough and which fly is higher amid the scat.
i grew up in a trailer park
surburbia makes me want to kill myself
it's so fucking boring
it's flat, nothing happens
it's really safe tho
i don't like safety
that's why i don't wash my hands
i live on the edge
I like the city for its public transportation (buses, subways, light rails). I hate cars, though. I wish L.A. people was less car-dependent. But suburbs are awful, because every house has some hideously big yard and like three cars.
unless it's south central
where all the cars are probably stolen anyway

Honestly the suburbs remind me of that George Lopez episode where George and his hot wife go to check out a small town in Colorado for its safety and family-friendly atmosphere, only to find out that the people form cliques, and the teenagers have nothing to do except hook up and do drugs.
Yes in the city I have to watch my back when I go out at night. But at least in the city, I have a reason to go out at night

so you believe in TV fiction then?
sitcoms, like the internet, are verified by nuns for truthfulness
George Lopez is ultimate source on suburban lifestyle.
Thanks. Will disregard entire life spent in smaller city and will question everything I know.
Actually no, George Lopez is not a reliable source. It's just funny how when I moved out of Culdesacia, I watched the episode and thought "shit, that pretty much summarizes life in Widelawnchester"

As much as I shit on Detroit, I'd still prefer to live in D-Town as opposed to any of the suburbs surrounding it
I lived in the suburbs until I was 12, and then I was forced to live in no-wheresville Montaner... :(
suburb person here forsure.
Quoteonly to find out that the people form cliques, and the teenagers have nothing to do except hook up and do drugs

And everything's closed after 9, except Mcdonalds and safeway.
I honestly dont think i can live in the suburbs again. i like having a deli three blocks away from me and socializing wit people in front of buildings

from my experience there are three type of trailer parks, ones that are almost suburbs, ones full of meth and drugs, and ones that are strictly for hispanics/blacks. the one I grew up in didn't have any black people for a long time (landlord was a racist) once he died and I moved away, more people started moving in and they didn't take care of their lawns and destroyed the dirt road we lived on. Really ran the place down. It went from practically a suburban development to a shithole in a relatively short amount of time. There was also a lot of people moving because blacks were moving in (again, a shitton of racists in my hometown.) We're still not as bad as some other trailer parks (one a few miles from my house is infested with coke and meth and a shitton of gang members live there.)
I've also delivered to the mexican trailer parks here in Asheville and every one that I've been to has been run down, but they tip very well. There also seems to be less violence and drugs. It just looks like shit.

i lived in a trailer park up until i was 8
any man who was employed there was a truck driver. most people were unemployed. women had very few teeth. if you're ingrained in redneck culture, then the people there aren't too bad. this one neighbor got a double-wide trailer and there was basically a huge-ass celebration because he was the first one to "move up" to something better. honestly, it was pretty nice inside that place. huge living room and huge bedrooms with a great kitchen. if it were built using stable materials, it would've been pretty good. this guy also later got a big screen tv (those things had shit picture quality but everybody loved them) and there was another celebration.
his kid was also a huge stone cold steve austin fan. he later confided in me that he actually hated wrestling and stone cold, and his dad forced him to like it.
but overall nothing was too too bad there. there was this one guy who always got drunk and beat his wife (i think her name was marge). one day he was in the street with a gun and my dad had to calm him down.
also there were these retarded neighbor kids who'd break their own property and accuse me of doing it. i was 6 years old and had the cops called on me for destroying their heating system.
and one day a family moved in and the mom couldn't walk. it was weird for everybody. but their daughter was hot.
the trailer park was also relatively clean compared to what you'd typically imagine. i don't know of any drug issues (then again i was <8 and didn't know what those were) and I only remember there being one alleged pedophile in the neighborhood who was nice and gave us candy ? ? ? like he never bothered anybody and just gave out candy to the kids and left it at that.
but yeah trailer park
I'd actually prefer to live in a trailer park as opposed to a suburb. In trailer parks it sounds like there is a strong sense of community
