Title: I found this apparently classic joke,

It basically goes: this guy named Roy goes to his friends house, and takes his shoes off at the door. The friend's cat eventually finds them and tears them up. The friend has 2 cats, so when one walks in, the friend asks, "Pardon me Roy, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?"

I don't get the punchline, help
