I've been playing Jak & Daxter and it's okay I guess. It's extremely easy and the levels just lack that spark that Rare's games had.
also those barren worlds and pointless characters and utter lack of plot
what are some good 3d platformers you like
banjo, dk64, and super mario sunshine are my favorites
why are you comparing jak & daxter to rare's shit

why are you comparing jak & daxter to rare's shit
because it was definitely inspired by it
and the first game is an open-world cartoonish 3d platformer
well i think it's obvious enough that i love the banjo games. i actually like tooie a bit more than kazooie. the bigger worlds, cool new abilities...it's more challenging, too.
as far as mario 3d platformers go, idk, i love all of them and they're all a rather different experience for me. sm64 if i want something really quick and easy, sunshine for something more varied and challenging, galaxy for something completely different.

well, it's the same kind of game, so why not lol

also super mario galaxy fuck you
mario galaxy and [glow=black,2,300]uncharted[/glow] are the only good 3d platformers

i didn't even think to mention uncharted lol
but that's just as much a 3rd person shooter and not really the same type of platformer idk
The Banjo games for the N64, that's about it...
Though Bomberman 64 and Glover were okay too I suppose
rocket robot on wheels was pretty cool
i used to like crash bandicoot warped as a kid
mario sunshine rules
didn't like dk64 and never played a banjo game

glover's absolutely terrible, and i don't remember bomberman being a platformer
oh also I have rayman 2 for dreamcast and that's a pretty neato game, and I actually like the sonic adventure games

glover's one of those games you can only like as a kid
it's retarded and bad in all ways but that's why kids like it
and rayman 2 is good but i can't beat that final boss

Well idk apparently the PS version was awful and the N64 version got pretty good reviews... I was never any good at it, I just found the concept really interesing
According to Wikipedia Bomberman was so I'll just roll with it n_u
A lot of people don't really care for DK64 but I've played enough of it that I can say fuck those people.
Anyway I like Sonic'06.
i could never play dk64 because of that little red-add on you added onto the n64 :'(
(i don't even think it did anything, did it?)
I think it added more memory or something. O_0
dk64 is one of my favorites.

It upped the graphical capabilities, I think.

I loved this game as a kid
Ratchet and Clank series
Sly series
yea I like sonic adventure. And I like sonic adventure 2 a little more, but mainly for it's chao garden. Sonic Adventure one had the better overall feel though, like the world was much more engaging. Never played heroes or any sonic after those though.
I personally found Jak and Daxter 2 to be more challenging than the first. So I liked that one.
And oddly enough Borderlands 2 is kinda like a collectathon, but with fps mentality.
Chibi-Robo?
Donkey Kong 64
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Mario 64

not...really.......
Portal has platforms? Check.
...that you jump to/from? Check.
felt, that's not really enough to automatically put a game in the "platformer" genre
either you're trolling or you're just dumb

I'd say it's more of a platformer than a first person shooter

I'd say it's more of a platformer than a first person shooter
it's a hybrid fps/puzzle game imo
it has less platforming than your typical fps
∀x∈first person shooters=A
∀x∈platformers=B
A ⊆ B?
shut the fuck up
