big mac
When I worked as a painter years ago they put me in a hotel for a few nights in a city up north near minocqua with a few other workers. We went out to grab a bite after working all day and found this little hole in the wall deli. And I ordered the italian sub without knowing what was on it. We all did.
And after ten minutes or so, some guy drops four plates down and I took a bite and it was the best thing I had ever experienced. The bread was some kind of hardroll, toasted, and perfect. There were spicy vegetables and a delicious sauce and some kind of melted cheese and some meat and shit, normal sandwich materials, but it was incredible. We ate there every night and ordered the same thing.
I raved about that sandwich to my friends and one year we went up to meet a someone near that same city, so we had to go grab a sandwich, but the place was closed when we got there and I wept.
It's between a Monte Cristo (with Raspberry jam) or a Reuben.
