With this many characters to develop and stories to tell, Disney plans to release a new Star Wars feature film every two or three years for the foreseeable future.

he didn't actually die in the sarlacc pit

well, meaning that, the movie timeline clearly hit an end with ep 6, so the fact that they are trying to continue that, it seems, is kinda dumb. If they would just make more star wars movies, basically just place them in the same universe, but with different characters, then it would probably be ok.

I'm not really what you'd call a Star Wars fan. Episode IV is p. enjoyable and I recognize the impact it's had on science-fiction film. I've yet to see V and VI for some reason and I thought the prequels were pretty bad, except for the race in the first one which was kinda cook I guess (and it made for a cook N64 game).

Seeing the Millenium Falcon and the main theme kicking in gave me goosebumps. I'm hyped. baddood;

So, the first teaser trailer was released. I have a feeling a lot of hardcore fans are going to hate this movie. I see them citing the prequel trilogy as more accurate to lore and hating the future of SW. But! I have a feeling that people are really going to like this movie, because the influx of people embarrassing "nerd" culture. In the last few years with the remakes of comic book/ sci-fi movies being major blockbuster hits. More and more people are watching stuff 20 years ago that the mainstream audience would of avoided.

I feel that J.J. is going to try his best at achieving something familiar and making a series (you all know that their is going to a be a new trilogy) that all audiences will want to watch.

I would say I is worse based solely on the fact that it's entirely expendable. It has 0 bearing on the necessary plot points of any of the other movies.

pretty much true i guess, and less jar jar in 2
still, 2 has a bunch of hayden christensen bullshit and I like 1's visuals a little more for some reason

I refuse to watch II. I've seen it twice. I gave it a second chance. It is a giant pile of shit. I was still excited about Star Wars after episode I. Episode II killed it with all its "romance" that was the most horribly wooden acting I've ever seen.

Also wtf DP Jedi is great

I liked ii cause i enjoy christopher lee as an actor, but this is definitely one of those cases were the actor isn't capable of saving a movie. also dooku got shafted in the last movies but that's neither here nor there.

the first one probably aged the best. I haven't seen it since I was a child though. I remember my dad was stoked for episode 1, and after that I had to drag him to the other films. now it all makes sense
