Be careful. Some loose leaf strainers aren't big enough and don't give the tea leaves enough room to open up and it messes with the taste. Also make sure you have the steep times and temperatures down perfectly. Tasting along the way as it steeps is of major importance.

I like learning about coffee and trying new kinds/new methods of brewing so it's very well possible to say that

Maybe it's because one of my good friends is a barrista and is way too into coffee, but it is definitely something that you can get into. No less arbitrary than most other hobbies imo.

cycling is one of the most enjoyable things about my life at the moment. buy a decent vintage road bike for under $300 (there haven't been any major leaps in road bike technology in the last 30 or so years) and tweak it to your likings and you will have a commuter machine. i should post some before and after pics of my bike. i love it so much <3
living 5 miles away from my university and not wanted to pay for gas has been a huge motivator, but i never realized how feasible cycling is as a form of transportation. any distance under 5-10 miles is totally worth biking instead of driving if you aren't too pressed for time

I wouldn't suggest starting with anything too light or too dark. You wanna aim for something anyone can drink without milk/sugar and perfect that. Then slowly expand your tea palate
playing video games
listening to music, reading about music, finding new music
reading fiction, short fiction, plays, essays...not too big on the poetry these days
