Half of my apartment building caught on fire this morning. Shit was scary, man. Thankfully the fire didn't reach my apartment and no one was seriously hurt. Still, it's frightening to see the fire slowly crawl towards all of my possessions, and there was nothing I could do about it.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but they think it started on the outside of the building.
Word to the wise: get renter's insurance. I saw a few lives ruined today because people didn't want to spend the extra ten dollars a month for insurance.
:(
Last year a whole apartment building burned so bad nothing was salvageable in my neighborhood. It was full of college kids and professors. All they could do was sit and watch it take every thing. saddood;
oh my god hippo
i'm glad you're okay :(
my dad's actually been pressuring me to get renter's insurance and i was like "no i could use that money for other things"
