Apparently the budget wasn't being watched and the amount of money allocated to paying student employees in the IT department is due to run out some time in April, with the fiscal year ending on the 30th of June.
To make sure this doesn't happen the various subdepartments of IT will need to cut certain amounts from its budget. My boss had to cut 30% of his hours to save $1000 per week. For me this results in a loss of a little less than 50 dollars per week. It is possible that my night shift may also end up with 48 dollars per week cut.
This means that currently I stand to lose about 189 dollars per month definitely, and another 192 per month potentially.
I hate everything ;____; 381 dollars, monthly, is at stake guys.
I was making ~2030 per month before cuts. Confirmed cuts bring me down to $1848. Proposed bring me down to $1656 wry;

FOOD idk. paying for my girlfriend and myself when we eat out a lot adds up. I cut down on that after realizing how much i spent in 2011 at restaurants. this was probably the largest because groceries were maybe ~200 for the house and then restaurants at 30-70 a pop.
some of my student loans since i realized interest is adding up a lot on the unsubsidized loans. between 50 and 120 each month maybe?
i should have a lot of left over from now on though even though the extra few hundred would help. I'm trying to make sure i have like 6 months of rent and bills saved before I get an apartment and also money to put down on a newer CAH

With the previous rate I was
just able to do so if I were to move out and was saving the money for backup purposes.
Now rather than being only 50 dollars in the green I'd be 150-350 in the red ;___;

On the plus side of things, I went from making ~1800 a month on 12 days of work, to suddenly in control of my own income and thus able to potentially sustaining ~3800 a month on the same 12 days of work.
This is what we call exponential growth that makes no sense.
It should remind you of a lot of economics.
