I really really really don't want to do architecture anymore. I hate hate hate studio so much this semester I just can't stand it and making myself do another three years of this just isn't okay. I cannot cannot cannot do this anymore. WHAT THE FUCK SHOULD I DO

I think you should really reconsider if you can't.
Also if it's something else in your life making you dislike it then you should also take that into consideration

No, I don't think I want to do it for the rest of my life, I know this.
The question is whether or not there is really anything I can do about it since I can't really transfer anywhere.

this is caring somewhat too much, honestly. this is a pretty big deal and entirely your decision so as nice as it is for you to consider their opinions, you are kinda considering them ~too much~
Studying Doing something strictly for the sake of someone else's opinion, no matter how much you value it, is a really dangerous thing.

You shouldn't really worry. From my perspective and the perspective of others, you are an incredible, talented and gifted individual with relation to structures, planning and exploration. For all I know, you could have the next hit show on the History channel exploring abandoned places and ancient sites. I know you will do well and have a happy life, even if no one can quite predict now where or what that will entail. And that is what you should tell your parents and believe in, because it will come true.

I just finished talking to my mom on the phone for about half an hour. This is basically what she said. I am glad that people think highly of me-- much higher than I do myself. Perhaps it makes them too trusting. Perhaps my dad will hate it though. But he won't hate me for it. I know that when he was young he made two big life decisions that seriously upset his parents, but turned out very much for the best. I suspect that if I plan it all out correctly, he will begrudgingly be okay with it.
I'm going to fill out applications this week. Looks like most places have a priority deadline in early March.

You're very welcome. But it is true, just like we can't see our own galaxy from the outside, how can an individual really know what they encompass or represented without the input and help of others? I think you have enough, drive and ability to make something of your hobby, interests and passions. School is just a small part of shoring up this position, so that you can move one and further. The specific details wont really matter in the long run, just your belief.

It's true dude, no institution can have inherent power or propagate itself, it needs a body to encompass and manifest this aspect. So when I walked into classes and excelled, was it because that room made me, or because I brought in whatever I knew and felt? Only the unwise in this world will ask you what your GPA was over a question to get to know your philosophy and view of the world. It is a sad state of affairs, but there is no escaping this.
