Friends are kind of like tools, but not in the malicious sense. We all use our friends for something, be it for a laugh or help through a tough time or even a place to vent our frustrations. So friends are tools in the sense that they can be used to fix a problem, but we hold more value with them as opposed to hammers and screwdrivers because we connect on a human level. Also, there is a chance that your friends are using you as a tool just as much as you are using them. Which is a good thing. So, yes you could say friends are tools, but to say that would dehumanize the friends. To consciously use them as tools, with no desire to form a relationship, that is not kosher.

there is always a stranger within all of us. maybe we are an assortment of strangers, who said it, there is a voice in my head?
friend are carnal wants because socializing is instinctual
when under conscious control is when the underlying intent can be either 'good' or 'bad'
when it's not it is neither bad or good
so you aren't 'using' them since there is no conscious intent because it is natural for most people
i think the stranger is the instinct and seat of creativity--an animal
it is neither good or bad--it is both sometimes or none at all (and it is very pure)
the select imagine is an ideal or standard people want to maintain--it is probably conditioned, driven by fear of rejection
this fear is natural but not tied to your stranger as your stranger is not afraid--fear comes from insecurities
i do not agree with the mind/body dichotomony
sometimes you cannot control the mind (think thoughts from the 'divine')
sometimes you cannot control the body
sometimes you can control all or trick yourself you are controlling all
personally i have many masks they are very fun
and i like taking it off and exposing myself very vividly to people who have masks that are as pretty as mine because they would understand
people with masks i do not like i do not rev3al because they are scary
