My dad is alright. He was very strict and over eating in high school but has now relaxed a lot and doesn't care what I do or judge me really anymore. I mean he probably would if I dropped out of school or did hard drugs or went to jail for a long period of time, but he doesn't try to control my life anymore.
But yeah he's pretty nice and we talk about buildings and local politics most of the time when we talk, which are things that we are both very interested in.
