I know this is from NSider, but this is really just about the retards who think Sony copies everything in general, so it could be about anything. I've even seen some people go as far as saying that the Walkman was unoriginal.
First off (About the analog stick), the first analog stick was on the Atari 5200. People who say that Nintendo invented it are just annoying.
Then(About the PS button), the Wii has the same friggin thing. "Home button" is no different than the PS button, the Jewel, or whatever.
Nintendo invented the touch screen? Gee, I guess that Palm I used in the 90's was just my imagination.
Nintendo didn't invent motion-sensors for games either. The first fully-motion-sensing gaming peripheral was the Power Glove, which was actually made by Mattel, contrary to most beliefs.
Wii Shop Channel anyone? Come on.
I think you are trying to bash them, retard.
Also, nice pwnage on Andrew's part. burned;
I know. The fanboys need to shut up. If they like nintendo only, thats fine, but they dont have to dis all of the other companies. I like Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo the same.
Sony did copy Nintendo but who fucking cares? I'm a little bit disappointed that Sony doesn't bring more to the video game table. I love the kewl things video game companies bring to the table like the N64's analog stick, 360's home button, SNES's shoulder buttons.
By the way, Atari didn't have an analog stick; it does have a "joy stick" though.

The Atari 2600 and 7800 or whatever that one was didn't, but the 5200 had an analog stick. That being said, those controllers were horrible.

No. It's analog. psyduck;
For proof, just go to GameTrailers.com and watch the AVGN review of the Atari 5200.
But aren't joy sticks used with just 1 hand?
Everyone is going to copy off everyone at some point. People who say that only one company copies off all the others is a fanboy. Plain and simple. Nobody really "invents" anything. Some things are original, but are mostly based off of other ideas already used.
No! Nintendo did create the analog stick, and motion sensors, and all that mumbo-jumbo; then Sony copied it and now they're off to copy Microsoft and make an operating system that looks like Windows and OS X. omg, u people are so dum
