I love The Black Keys. However, I don't listen to their newer stuff much. I liked when they were just this duo who sounded like they were playing dirty blues rock in their garage instead of the newer, better produced, more varied stuff they've been doing as of late.

When I want to hear The Black Keys, this is the kind of stuff I want to hear:

I don't really think I'm into the blues-rock resurgence back in the beginnings of the 00's.

I'm not really into the white stripes either, or kings of leon.

kings of leon? i thought they were just another modern alternative rock band trying to be like U2. not sure where blues enters into it. at least not from what i've heard.

from what I understand, the u2 business started on this last album.

work played a video of them running around africa with a bunch of black kids. then they sung in a church.

it's not so much blues-rock, but kind of maybe? I dunno. Not the stompy stuff akin to white stripes or black keys, but I think they're not too far from each other.

Try radio moscow.
Dan Auerbach produced one of their records.

Dan Auerbach's solo material is pretty dull though unfortunately

Kings of Leon are definitely not a blues-rock band.

The Black Keys are, but I still don't like them very much.

At the risk of sounding like that guy, Kings of Leon were good before they were popular. Listen to anything before Only By The Night.

But yeah, it's not blues.

I don't have a problem with them, they're far from bad. Magic Potion's a good album, but Brothers was just kinda boring
and kaz what
kings of leon are nothing like u2 at all
and originally they did have kind of a southern-bluesy vibe to them
