you asked this last year too and i explained it last year - do i really have to explain it again?
most of the gifts come from my grandma. my mom manages to pull through okay. grandma DOES spend way too much on us, but she can do what she wants with her money and i'm certainly not complaining.
Also, I have a fairly large family so I get stuff from lots of other relatives too. But yeah grandma covers like probably half of the whole list.
i acknowledge that i get a shit load of presents but i'm pretty damn grateful
i don't usually get this much. my dad's business is doing really well and I think they're happy that i'm home for the holidays :)
eight white undershirts
five grey undershirts
boxers
blades for my razor
two pairs of shorts
and i bought myself ffxiii the other day because it was $10 new and why the hell not

since i don't have work this week i could stream a movie per night this week or something?? i wouldn't mind watching the good the bad and the ugly again since i Loved It, also ypr didn't get to see it (he was the one who nominated it)
btw silvertone an amazing western you should see sometime if you haven't already is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
it has nothing to do with Clint Eastwood like those films you listed do but it's still amazing

you also have to consider that i'm 23 goowan
Also most of Kaz's stuff was old games, books, and cds, which really don't cost
too much. The gift cards though, those add up to quite a bit.
I would say in terms of money spent DP probably got the most.

MOTHER OF FUCK
Honestly I think kaz is far more spoiled. This list seems like it has a lot of less expensive things, but a lot of it. This is the kind of list I would get if my mom's side of the family didn't decide that buying gifts for everyone would make them swiftly go broke (which they totally would. Her family is gigantic.)
You are correct. Most of it is fairly lower-priced stuff, and she only gets things on sale or with coupons and such.
And like I said, if I made my list the way most of you guys do it would look like this:
QuotePS3
Ratchet & Clank All 4 One
LBP2 Special Edition
mass effect 2
blanket/sheets
clothes
shoes
backpack
calendar
pocket knife
$20 target gift card
$50 grocery gift card
still on the higher-end, but not nearly as huge-looking.

You can't make up for shitty parenting with a lot of gifts.
Oh yeah, and you turned out great.
You have your own fictional vision of me, but you seem to ignored any actual information about my personality, values, or life in general.
I might be getting a little butthurt about this but stop being such a condescending, self-assured, pseudo-intellectual piece of shit.

I seriously have no idea, I think their mom is rich (I don't know her, my she's divorce from my step-uncle) and the dad used to be a truck driver and I think he manages something similar nowadays, but I have no idea. Their house looks middle-class, and they're rednecks. They do have a lot of hunting equipment though...

All I asked for specifically was a guitar strap and a couple from a list of PS3 games. I didn't get the guitar strap so that probably means it'll be a birthday gift.

Same here. I feel like a being from another planet reading this thread. The thought of hinting or telling someone what I want for a gift is just baffling.

It kind of ruins the whole point for me. Gifts should come from the heart, not from a list.

I consider a letter to be gift, something that I made, etc... I just can't bring myself to purposefully go into a store knowing that I am there to get a gift. It's just, eh, not authentic. But I also don't come from a family that attaches importance to specific days and gives them meaning in such a way.

Well I somewhat agree but for like a list for christmas it's just a way to give them an idea of what you're interested in/want/need for the holiday then they can either go off of it or just buy you something they think you'll like. If you look at it from their perspective it's about just making the person happy with something they want
Don't get me wrong, I do believe the best gifts come from the heart but a list isn't necessarily bad for such a big spending holiday.
With my money I bought a gift card for a friend, mario kart 7, and 750ml of Maker's Mark bourbon
For next christmas you guys should buy me:
Infiniti G37 sedan or coupe. I dont like the IPL coupe so plz not that.
Chevy Silverado
Glock 19 and/or 23.
A GTL 22 Tactical Light attachment for the glock
Sig Sauer M516 Patrol Rifle
Ammo
Holster for Pistol
plx
oh i need a gun safe too.
Next Christmas is 4 days too late.
ew why would you want a chevy or infinity

for some reason, on the Internet, most people seem to think my height of ~5'8" is perhaps even below average, but my entire family tells me I'm tall saddood;

i was living in hawaii during puberty so i was pretty much taller than most until i came to the mainland where i saw i was indeed below average
