I've been staring for 34 minutes, and it's still there. Do I need to upgrade my gfx card?

Look at it but don't stare, it will slowly fade away into white, and then the few spots that remain, you can think and will them away little by little but never incompletely.

I twraked some opengl settings and got it to work

Now the rest of my screen is really washed out thoufg.
