I'm actually taking an inquiry research class where we have been looking at some of the locally funded studies and I can't get over how fucking absurd some of these are. How absolutely meaningless. They're more in the social sciences realm of  but you get the vibe.

Forget actually studying a phenomenon that actually might yield some critical and usable results. Can't have that...

Yeah those studies sound like a good use of money.

I feel like this about a huge proportion of studies I hear about, which is sad, really.
