Title: readstates
Post by: applesauce on October 03, 2011, 12:16:22 AM
Has anyone else noticed that the readstates have been pretty shitty and full of errors the last month or so? It tends to be in topics that I have recently posted in. Idk maybe if I am reading page and reply is posted and I go to lobby it counts as read?   O_0

yes, I notice this, it does seem to be only with threads you view as the reply is posted though

When the most recent post in a thread is modified, I think it might set your readstate back to unread for that post. That might at first look like an error because it sends you back to a post you've already seen.

but I think that depends on how long the time period between post and edit is, like maybe it doesn't mark as unread unless it's been long enough that you see the "Last Edit:" mark on the post.

I have never noticed this. My problem is with unread posts being marked as read.

It's a glitch within the matrix.
