I don't know. I just don't know about this sort of thing anymore. I met Hensa on a forum a long, long time ago. I mean, I first knew her when she was like 13. And it was when she was 15, and I was 16 (about to turn 17) that we first started really talking and started to hit it off. For two and a half years it was "someday we'll see each other" and it was lonely and heartbreaking and I just don't think I could ever bring myself to put up with shit like that again.

I mean, now I'm older and can do what I want and I probably wouldn't end up meeting a girl with such ridiculously overbearing parents again, so obviously it wouldn't be the same and probably not nearly as bad. But still, my personal bad experiences with dating online has given me a rather strong personal bias against it.

It's no worse than regular dating in my opinion. girl;

I don't really have a strong opinion about it. I suppose I'd say it could work, but it'd be worth avoiding so much hassle.

I was always weary about it, but I met my current girlfriend online and it's been pretty damn good for nearly 4 months.
We met on myyearbook ( akudood; ), which is pretty much a combination of myspace and facebook with the intent of finding people to hook up with. Nearly every one is trashy as hell. I lucked out, I guess. It's quite a terrible place, really

I have an okcupid profile, and it's not really for me I guess.

I made one some months back and I got four dates from it, and none of them went anywhere.

The account I made now, I've messaged several girls, gotten several messages back, but goddamnit when I asked them out for coffee they never return my message

OkC helped me get to a point where I could talk to random people. Though, I'm still not particularly good at it.

really? i've never heard of anybody having any kind of luck with a site like that. would you care to elaborate?

I think it's odd and unappealing.

i just use internet dating sites for new friends and networking
so far, it's been a very good success

I used to have an OKCupid account in an attempt to pick up local chicks who were similar to me.
I talked to a few girls but nothing in depth and it was just silly things and not trying to get a date.


I deactivated it after I met Selena.

I probably wouldn't ever pursue this method of dating.

I dont really know, pure chance I guess. I struck up conversation with many women, but it seems like the majority of the users are the terribly trashy people you see all over the place. But I found one girl among those masses who actually stuck out and was worth it.
There's plenty of opportunity on there tofind girls and hook up with them if that's what you're looking for too, just saying, I dunno
