there's also two other bedrooms, but it would probably be wow lewd to just take photos of my roommates' rooms and post them on the internet.
there are four of us, and we are happy here. giggle;
Looks nice giggle;
I hate wood floors though :[
Wow, that looks very nice and clean giggle; All your furniture looks brand new.

Thanks. It was a mess before I cleaned all day today. Like half the furniture is new ikea and half is from old apartment model units.
nice place, looks like you have nets all wired oop

yeah we have 1-2 gigabit lines to every bedroom, and are also running HDMI over ethernet hooking up one of the desktops to the TV. We have a DC++ network with over 6 TB of shared movies, tv shows, music, and photos. Also got dat wifi doohickey thing.

Below is where all the network equiptment is located:

To the left of the photo is an APC 650 watt UPS, which the big power strip in the middle is hooked up to. All the network equipment and Alex's PC are plugged in there, and there is an extension chord from there to Dan's primary PC, so that it is also on the UPS. The white box on top in the middle is our DIR-655 router. Beneath that is a TrendNET switch, with 24 100m/bit ports and 2 gigabit ports. I actually purchased the switch for the purpose of hosting LAN parties, which I do a couple times a year. My last one had 26 PCs, 3 360s, a wii, and several DSs and smartphones. I have yet to have any problems with the switch. It's great because you can get your gigabit uplink to the router without having to pay for all the ports to be gigabit, which isn't really necessary. Beneath the switch are two cable modems, one a digital voice modem that comcast just kinda left here, and the other the internet modem. We have business class cable internet coming into that and then into the router. The router is b/g/n, and we have it hooked up to a fancy three-antenna thing on top of Alex's tower (that's what those three black wires are). Here's a look at the wireless networks in our place...there's a lot:
(http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/251255_10150287238085365_723375364_9417984_3692149_n.jpg)
Anyways, so the router had 5 gigabit ports. One port runs to one of the gigabit ports on the switch, one to Alex's desktop, one to Dan's primary desktop, one to Dan's second desktop, and one to my desktop. From the switch we have a 100m/bit line running to each of the three bedrooms for laptop hookups and/or future desktops. The other ports are open for people who visit to plug into. We did all the wiring ourselves from a 500-foot spool of cat-6. In addition to the network, we also run HDMI over ethernet (a pair of cat-6 lines) from Alex's desktop to the TV. We have one of those madcatz switches hooking up the TV, stereo, N64, Gamecube, and DVD player as well. Here's a photo of the 7 permanently wired cat-6 lines leaving Alex's desk (where all the network equipment is located). The three the loop under the door are the gigabit line to Dan's second desktop (in his room), the 100m/bit line to Dan and Alex's room, and the 100m/bit to Ryan's room. The four that go to the right are the two HDMI over ethernet lines, the gigabit to my desktop (in my room), and the 100m/bit to my room.

Below is Alex's desktop. It's an i5 2400. 8gb memory. gts 460. 1x 1tb drive, 1x 500gb drive. Both Linux and win7.
(http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/252189_10150334518480365_723375364_9900016_1643049_n.jpg)
Dan's primary desktop. A first generation i5, forget what model. 8 gb memory. Idk what GPU. 2x 1tb drives, 1x 500gb drive, 80gb ssd. Linux only.
(http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/281644_10150334518545365_723375364_9900017_6195651_n.jpg)
My desktop. Core 2 Duo, 4gb memory, radeon 2600xt. 1x 2tb drive, 1x 500gb drive, 1x 250gb drive, 1x 160gb drive, 1x 60gb drive. Next week I'll be upgrading to an i7 2600k, 8gb memory, and a 550ti. Will be pulling the 60gb drive and possibly the 160gb as well, but will be adding another 500gb one. Currently this hosts our minecraft server (~10 active players, ~25 total, world over 400mb) but that might be moving to Dan's after my upgrade. Currently Linux only, but I'll add win7 when I upgrade.

I don't have a photo of Dan's second desktop, but it's some dual-core AMD with 2gb memory, no gpu, and a 500gb drive. Linux only. He uses it pretty much just for homework and such.
In addition to the desktops, Ryan has an i5 laptop, and Alex has an atom+ion netbook. I had my i7 laptop before it died, got rma'd, and sold. Also phones.
What's that PCI card you got for?

An old sound card. I actually use the onboard sound, so idk why I even keep it in there lol. It will be coming out shortly.
